Women in Science Day Fair at Depot Park

The U.N. International Day for Women and Girls in Science is an opportunity for all to take a stand for girls and women in science. Girls and women must be empowered at every level, in learning and research, from administration to teaching, across all scientific fields.

To help achieve this goal, seven science clubs and departments at UF will be hosting a day of demos and information sessions to allow girls and young women to explore the different fields of science and encourage them to pursue science-oriented careers.
The event will be open to the public and focused towards K-12 students and parents, girl scouts, and the UF student body. Current club involvement includes:

Society of Physics Students
Astronomy and Astrophysics Society
Students for the Exploration and Devolpement of Space
Small Satellite Design Club
Chemistry Club
GeoClub
